Variable static pressure self-tuning control and energy saving technologies in VAV central air conditioning system based on GPC algorithm

Analyses the constitution and the characteristics of the VAV air conditioning system, and compares the energy consumption of the constant static pressure control strategy with that of the variable static pressure control strategy on an experimental platform. The results show that the energy saving rate of variable static pressure control strategy can be up to 12.86%. In light of the nonlinear, time-varying features and difficulties in modeling the controlled object, designs a generalized predictive self-tuning algorithm, conducts the simulation and experiment, and employs the algorithm in the variable static pressure control system. The simulation and experimental results indicate that the algorithm has good performance of tracking and anti-interference as well as the greater energy saving potential.
